A nice example os a Sabres d'officiers de Chasseurs de Vincennes modele 1838 Manufactured at Klingenthal.
Lovely blade. Overal nice patina but no pitting - hardly shows it's age at all and still has an effective point! The pattern from the forging process can also be seen (similar to damascus effect) in what is obviously a high quality blade for an officer. The scabbard is also in wonderful condition for it's age.
The back ivory grip is missing it's wire bindind and the guard is a little slack but still a rare piece in lovely condition.
